Initially cool but turned into a warm, windy day. In Majorca I met Sue from Conwy. She was leading her own ride out today and had invited members of Team Glow to experience what Wales had to offer. It was a lovely route. Spectacular views and great, wholesome cycling company. I had started my day early and had driven to Bolton to collect my Team Glow friend Heather. We travelled to Wales together arriving much earlier than expected. We took in a breakfast and then met the rest of the group. I only knew Heather and Sue. There were 9 of us set off. As ever, there was much chatting and laughing as we went. On arrival into Betws-y-Coed, Sue took us to a lovely cafe by the train station where we had a 40 minute stop. Sue then offered options for the ride back - 3 options in fact. And everyone went for the hilly one. Hence the climbing statistic for today. Lovely views at the top of the climb across to Snowdonia. An all round great day out. And more of those lovely tarmac miles in my legs. TICK.
